In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of Class 8 trucks and trailers. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot mechanical systems including suspension, shocks, air brakes, engines, transmissions, and HVAC systems. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately for compliance and future reference. Assist with heavy lifting operations and equipment assembly to support ongoing projects or repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring work is completed efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within a dealership or industrial setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with heavy trucks and engines is highly desirable. Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and equipment maintenance practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver quality repairs efficiently.
