Your expertise will help keep our customers fleet running smoothly, supporting various industrial, construction, and transportation operations. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems. Conduct electrical system repairs including automotive electrical diagnostics and wiring troubleshooting. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to ensure equipment functionality. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders accurately, and follow schematics for complex repairs. Assist with equipment assembly, alignment procedures, tire service, and preventive maintenance tasks. Support customer service efforts by providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repair needs. Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a similar heavy equipment repair role; dealership experience is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic tools for automotive and heavy equipment troubleshooting. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance devices. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; familiarity with tire service and suspension repairs is a plus. Certifications in heavy truck repair or diesel mechanics; relevant licenses or certifications related to industrial or agricultural machinery are preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; strong customer service orientation is essential.
