(RAI) is seeking an experienced Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) to lead the implementation and ongoing management of our company-wide HSE program across our construction and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities. This is an opportunity to take ownership of HSE within a growing renewable-energy organization and help establish a strong, consistent safety culture across construction projects and operating assets. Based in Portland, Oregon, we work collaboratively with our sister development company (GreenKey Solar) to drive change developing utility-scale renewable energy projects in key growth markets. We are a fast-paced team of doers, taking ownership of our work and proactively solving problems to achieve ambitious goals. Your Mission: As the HSE Manager, you will serve as RAI's primary internal HSE leader and will be responsible for translating our HSE policies, standards, and procedures into effective field practices. RAI has retained an experienced third-party HSE consultant to assist with the development of our comprehensive HSE Management Program. The successful candidate will work with company leadership and our HSE consultant to implement, administer, maintain, and continuously improve the program across the organization. This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with executive leadership while also spending meaningful time in the field with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, O&M personnel, subcontractors, and craft personnel. Your Key Responsibilities: Lead company-wide implementation and administration of RAI's HSE Management Program. Establish consistent HSE expectations across construction projects and O&M operations. Conduct project and operating-site inspections, audits, and safety observations. Provide HSE guidance and technical support to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Superintendents, O&M personnel, and field teams. Support project preconstruction, mobilization, execution, commissioning, and turnover activities. Establish and monitor requirements for JHAs/JSAs, pre-task planning, toolbox talks, inspections, training, and corrective actions. Oversee HSE requirements for subcontractors and third-party service providers. Lead or support incident, injury, near-miss, electrical-event, and environmental investigations and associated root-cause analyses. Develop and monitor leading and lagging HSE performance indicators. Maintain regulatory and HSE recordkeeping requirements. Coordinate specialized training, consultants, and third-party HSE resources when required. Promote a proactive safety culture built around planning, hazard recognition, accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
