The opportunity Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, we are hiring a Head of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to build WELL Health’s procurement function from the ground up. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, establish practical policies and processes, and create a consolidated view of company-wide spend to identify, prioritize, and realize savings opportunities. Working closely with Finance and business leaders, you will lead competitive sourcing processes, negotiate supplier agreements, and establish approaches to vendor selection, contracting, and purchasing across areas such as technology, medical supplies, real estate and facilities, and consulting. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will shape how procurement works across a growing, multi-site organization while delivering measurable financial value and supporting continued growth and the integration of acquisitions. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role with occasional in-office work in Toronto or Vancouver. Exceptional candidates based elsewhere may also be considered. Your sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations will help identify savings, improve purchasing decisions, and create financial value across a diverse, multi-site healthcare organization. Work directly with executive leadership. Reporting to the COO, you’ll partner with senior leaders and teams across the business to identify opportunities, build alignment, and turn procurement improvements into action. You will: Build the procurement strategy. Develop a practical procurement strategy that establishes how WELL Health identifies sourcing opportunities, evaluates suppliers, and makes purchasing decisions. Create policies, processes, and guidelines that support consistent, effective procurement across the organization. Analyze spend and identify savings. Build a consolidated view of company-wide spend to understand where money is being spent and where savings can be achieved. Assess opportunities across technology, medical supplies and consumables, real estate and facilities, consulting, and other categories, then quantify potential savings and prioritize where to focus.
