Head of Procurement

Please note: This position is onsite at our 24/7 warehouse in Moreno Valley, CA. We are currently seeking a Head of Procurement: Role Summary: The Procurement Manager leads category strategy and strategic sourcing execution to deliver total value (cost, quality, service, innovation, sustainability and risk resilience). The role owns end-to-end Source-to-Contract and supports Source-to-Pay outcomes for assigned categories, builds strategic supplier partnerships, and drives supplier development to improve performance and reduce supply risk. The role works across a matrix organization and collaborates with stakeholders across geographies and time zones. Key Accountabilities: · Develop and execute category strategies aligned to business needs and demand, supported by supply market analysis and risk assessment. · Lead spend analysis and market intelligence to identify value levers (TCO, should-cost, specification optimization, value engineering). · Translate category strategies into a clear sourcing pipeline with benefits tracking and stakeholder ownership. · Run end-to-end sourcing events (RFQ/RFP and other competitive processes): bidder strategy, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation. · Negotiate commercial and contractual terms (pricing models, indexation, payment terms, service levels, warranties, claims and Incoterms as applicable). · Own contract lifecycle management: drafting with Legal, ensuring compliance, renewals/renegotiations, and contract performance monitoring. Team Leadership & Capability Building: · Managing a team of 4 procurement staff across 3 factories site. · Coach and develop procurement staff; set objectives, build sourcing capability and embed standard work and best practices. · Promote continuous improvement and adoption of modern procurement tools, analytics and ways of working. Experience: · Demonstrated experience in category management and strategic sourcing, including RFx, negotiation, award and contract implementation. · Proven experience in supplier relationship management and supplier development (scorecards, QBRs, improvement plans). · Strong commercial and financial acumen: cost analysis, contracting, and cross-functional alignment with Legal/Finance/Operations. · Experience working in a matrix and/or multi-country environment; comfortable reporting to an overseas line manager and working across time zones. · Digital fluency: ERP (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and analytics/tools to drive performance, governance and compliance. · Manufacturing/operations environment experience is beneficial where procurement impacts quality, supply continuity and production outcomes. Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline · Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is a strong advantage.
