HCR USPS Delivery Driver

Location: Urbanna, VA Job Type: Full-Time - Part-Time (Early Morning Schedule) Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused HCR USPS Delivery Driver to transport U.S. Mail under a Highway Contract Route (HCR). The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and committed to providing reliable service while meeting all USPS contract requirements. This position involves operating a company vehicle on a scheduled route, loading and unloading mails and packages, and ensuring secure and timely transportation of mail between designated USPS facilities. (Please note that you will not be hired as a USPS employee. But, you will be in charge of delivering mails to locations where the USPS can't reach in Urbanna, VA.) Responsibilities Safely operate a company vehicle on an assigned USPS HCR route. Pick up and deliver mail according to the established schedule. Load, unload, and secure mail containers and parcels. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate trip records and required documentation. Follow all USPS procedures and company safety policies. Report vehicle issues, delays, or route concerns promptly. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with USPS personnel. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Previous delivery, courier, trucking, or commercial driving experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Schedule Early morning start times. Consistent scheduled route. Monday through Saturday except on Sundays and Holidays. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience). Paid training. Consistent, year-round work.
