Overview Join our team as a Hazmat/Tanker Driver and become a part of our logistics operation. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials across various routes, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. We have regional and long haul loads. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with tanker and refrigerated trailers to transport hazardous materials over the road (OTR) routes. Adhere strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation. Load, secure, and unload freight with precision, ensuring proper handling of dangerous goods and logistics cargo. Utilize GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety protocols. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including tanker and flatbed configurations, to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including load manifests, delivery logs, and safety compliance records. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route progress, delays, or safety concerns to ensure smooth operations. Requirements 2 Years Minimum Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat and Tanker vehicles. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and hazardous materials transportation. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, and dangerous goods handling procedures. Experience driving refrigerated trailers. Ability to manually handle cargo during loading and unloading processes with proper safety techniques. Strong understanding of route driving principles using GPS navigation tools for efficient deliveries. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance under DOT regulations. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for truck loading/unloading operations.
