Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers equipped with tanker and refrigerated trailer configurations, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Safely load, secure, transport, and unload hazardous materials, including dangerous goods, following hazardous materials regulations. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries across designated routes. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Load and unload bulk tanker using manual handling techniques or equipment such as PTO, hoses as necessary, ensuring proper cargo handling procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report any issues or delays promptly, and ensure route optimization. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on tractor-trailer operations, preferably involving hazmat transportation. Demonstrated knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe manual handling practices. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements for Hazmat, Tanker, and Refrigerated trailer operations. Experience driving manual transmission trucks in various weather conditions and terrains. Familiarity with route driving across various distances, including experience with tanker delivery is a plus. Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service and cargo security. Ability to operate specialized equipment such as 3 axle tractor unit for loading or unloading cargo.
