Pay: $1,200.00 - $2,200.00 per week Work Location: In person Apply with Indeed Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Hazmat Tanker Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials safely and efficiently across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in handling tanker trucks and adherence to strict safety regulations will ensure the secure delivery of dangerous goods. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with tanker and refrigerated trailers to transport hazardous and refrigerated cargo across designated routes. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines. Navigate using GPS systems, plan efficient routes, and adhere to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for route driving. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including logs, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork related to hazardous goods. Follow all safety protocols for manual handling, truck loading/unloading, and transporting dangerous goods via flatbed or tanker trucks. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and emergency responders as needed during deliveries or incidents. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, and possibly refrigeration units. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with Hazmat and refrigerated trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and safety procedures for manual handling and truck loading/unloading. Skilled in GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and operate tractor-trailers safely under various conditions. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, freight delivery processes, and hazard communication protocols. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually when necessary; familiarity with truck loading/unloading equipment preferred.
