Exclusive DriversJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Driver operating at near Houston airport, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM until completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation, ensuring timely and safe transportation of freight within the airport environment. As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and handling various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and specialty freight, while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently, supporting the broader supply chain network. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks to transport freight to and from DFW Airport, following designated routes and schedules. Load and unload cargo using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper securing of loads in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and route changes. Handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment as required for specific shipments, including hazardous materials following Hazardous Materials Regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck. Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments needed throughout the day. Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, including route driving at airports or over-the-road (OTR) routes. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Skilled in operating various types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or freight carriers. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient routing and real-time traffic updates. Experience with logistics cargo handling including freight loading/unloading using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety compliance and adherence to DOT hours-of-service rules.
