POSITION OVERVIEW Hartville Contractors Supply is looking for a Contractors Sales Specialist who is ready to serve the people who build, repair, and roof our community. In this role, you will focus on the needs of the construction professional, helping them find everything from repair parts and tools to roofing supplies and hardware. As one of the first faces guests see when they walk into HCS, you will set the tone for every visit. We are looking for someone with a "do whatever it takes" mentality who enjoys solving problems, knows how to keep a job moving, and takes pride in helping professionals get back to work quickly with exactly what they need. WHAT YOU WILL DO Bring a sales driven approach to every interaction, providing construction professionals with exceptional customer service in line with our philosophy of business. Assist guests in store and over the phone with questions about specific tools, projects, and inventory requests. Support day to day store operations, including receiving inventory, ringing out guests, and helping unload incoming trucks. Operate a forklift in the East drive through once certified, helping contractors load materials safely and efficiently. Carry out all duties of a sales team member and assist in other areas of the store as needed by management. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Previous retail sales experience in a related field (such as turf, feed, or similar) required Ability to use the right interpersonal style and communication approach to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea Customer service focus, with the ability to take care of guests' needs while following company procedures Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write business correspondence and present information to managers, customers, and the general public Strong organizational skills, including time and material sales, accurate recordkeeping, and the ability to work toward daily, monthly, and yearly goals Problem solving ability, with the composure to work…
