Gym Attendant

Overview It takes about 2 weeks to train and is done during the day, before transitioning into set hours. Hours after training is complete : Tuesday/Thursday 2:25pm-8pm Sundays 4:55pm- 7Pm We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gym Attendant to join our fitness facility team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for members , maintaining the cleanliness of the gym area, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where communication skills, sales abilities, and a passion for health and fitness are highly valued. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve our diverse clientele. The Gym Attendant will also assist with Cleaning, Straightening, stocking, and retail sales to enhance member engagement and facility revenue. Responsibilities Greet members professional etiquette and friendly demeanor Give Tours Assist members with gym equipment usage and conduct product demos when necessary Maintain cleanliness of workout areas, locker rooms, and common spaces to ensure a safe environment Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and basic retail math calculations Making shakes, pre-workout shots, selling water Monitor gym equipment for safety hazards and report maintenance needs promptly Enforce gym policies to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed Mopping, Vacuuming, straightening weights, giving tours of the gym Must be able to follow a checklist Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred Experience with POS systems, cashiering, is advantageous Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse membership base effectively Strong communication skills, including team player and active listening skills Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and sales transactions Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demonstrations is beneficial Prior experience in gyms or fitness centers is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for health and wellness is essential Pay: From $12.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Work Location: In person
