Grocery Stocker

About the Role: We are seeking a Grocery Stocker to keep shelves organized, products correctly labeled, and merchandise ready for customers. You will replenish stock, rotate products, check dates and packaging, and help maintain clean, accessible aisles. This hands-on role is suited to someone who works accurately, notices details, and enjoys supporting a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities: Replenish assigned shelves and displays according to store instructions. Check product names, sizes, and shelf locations before stocking. Rotate merchandise using the store’s stock-rotation procedures, taking expiration dates into account. Inspect packaging and remove damaged, leaking, expired, or otherwise questionable products for review. Check shelf labels and report pricing or product-placement discrepancies. Face products neatly and keep displays organized. Assist with receiving and checking deliveries when assigned. Move and store products safely, keeping backstock organized and clearly identified. Follow applicable food-storage and temperature-control procedures for refrigerated or frozen items. Help with inventory counts and report low stock or discrepancies. Assist customers in locating products and refer specialized questions to the appropriate team member. Keep aisles, exits, and work areas clear of boxes and equipment. Clean assigned shelves and storage areas and handle spills according to store procedures. Use carts, step stools, and other equipment only as trained and authorized. Communicate replenishment needs and unfinished tasks during shift handovers. Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and basic counting skills. Ability to read product labels and follow written instructions. An organized approach to repetitive tasks and stock rotation. Reliability, punctuality, and a cooperative attitude. Professional and courteous communication with customers and coworkers. Ability to perform essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation; specific lifting and other physical requirements will be confirmed.
