Grocery Receiver / Stock Associate

Please note: This is a Monday (10am-3pm), Wednesday (5:30am - 11am) and Thursday (10am-3pm) position. Please apply only if you are available for one or more of these shifts. Priority will be given to applicants who are available for the Wednesday shift. DeLuca's Market is looking for a reliable, organized, and hardworking Grocery Receiver to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving daily deliveries, verifying incoming merchandise, checking invoices, and efficiently organizing and packing out products to ensure our shelves and inventory are properly maintained. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, physically capable, and takes pride in keeping an organized and well-run operation. Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming grocery deliveries. Check deliveries against invoices and purchase orders to verify quantities, accuracy, and condition of merchandise. Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect items. Properly check in deliveries and complete receiving documentation. Organize and sort merchandise for efficient stocking. This includes going up and down stairs with cases of product. Pack out deliveries promptly, ensuring products are placed in their proper locations. Rotate inventory and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Maintain clean, organized receiving, storage, and back-of-house areas. Communicate discrepancies and inventory issues to management. Work efficiently to ensure deliveries are processed and put away in a timely manner. Qualifications Previous grocery, retail, warehouse, or receiving experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Dependable, punctual, and consistent. Comfortable lifting and moving cases and merchandise throughout the shift and going up and down stairs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. We need someone who can take responsibility for a delivery from the moment it arrives until the merchandise is properly checked in, organized, and packed out.
