Grocery Packer and Delivery Driver (Sundays only)

Position Overview: Looking for a way to give back to your community while earning extra money on Sundays? SNACC is seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to help us distribute weekly groceries to families in the Bronx and Harlem. Our drivers play an important role in making sure families receive the food they need each week while helping SNACC build strong, consistent relationships with the communities we serve. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator. This is a part-time position requiring approximately 3–5 hours of work on Sundays. Responsibilities: This job takes place every sunday morning - early afternoon Receive weekly groceries at Fresh Direct warehouse and organize items for efficient distribution. Repackage groceries into approximately 10-20 bags, ensuring accurate and fair distribution. Deliver groceries to approximately all 10-20 households in designated areas. Communicate effectively with recipients, confirming delivery times and addressing any questions. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while considering recipients' schedules and needs. Handle cases where items are missing from deliveries by either visiting a grocery store for additional items or coordinating with the SNACC team. Collaborate with the SNACC team to maintain an organized and efficient delivery schedule. Provide feedback to the SNACC team on any issues or challenges encountered during deliveries. Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic regulations while driving. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Must speak English and Spanish. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Access to a reliable vehicle for deliveries. Vehicle must have air conditioning to ensure food safety and temperature control. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time-management and organizational abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy when packaging and distributing groceries. Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changes in delivery schedules or items. Patient, dependable, and community-focused. Open to feedback and willing to learn. Physically able to lift and carry bags of groceries. Familiarity with local neighborhoods and navigation apps is a plus.
