Grocery Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Grocery Manager to lead our retail grocery operations. In this vital role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain optimal inventory levels. Your leadership will drive sales growth, operational efficiency, and a welcoming shopping environment. Duties Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product availability and presentation Oversee purchasing, pricing strategies, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate transactions and profitability Train and develop team members in customer service, cashiering, store policies, and safety protocols Handle employee scheduling, payroll processing, and shift management to optimize staffing levels Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards Requirements Proven management experience within the retail industry, preferably in grocery or similar environments Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate clearly Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and bookkeeping Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for sales transactions Experience in negotiating with vendors, purchasing products, and managing budgets Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases Demonstrated ability to train staff in employee orientation, sales techniques, and operational procedures Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, merchandising standards, and inventory control practices Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Pay: $24.43 - $29.42 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Work Location: In person
