Grocery Associate/Cashier

Duties Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards Maintain knowledge of store products to assist customers effectively and conduct product demos when appropriate Follow phone etiquette protocols when handling customer inquiries via phone or in person Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in stock replenishment activities Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or convenience store environments Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to oversee team activities Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate transactions and cash handling Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and provide clear product information Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances performance in this role Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional shopping experiences!
