Each Team Member is responsible to report on food safety and/or quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate corrective actions.
SCOPE:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Operations, the Grain Supply Chain Manager (GSCM) is responsible for managing the Company’s entire hemp grain supply chain; contracted growers, and supplier sources to the company facilities. The GSCM is critical in managing inventory, coordinating and scheduling timely product deliveries to third-party cleaning partners, arranging just-in-time supply to facilities, and overseeing the performance of service providers.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing annual crop schedules, maintaining clear communication regarding quality and supply timing, and ensuring smooth operations with farms, cleaning partners, bulk carriers, and company facilities all while managing supply inventory costs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document and initial crop year inventories from growers – quality, quantity and traceability
- Advise agronomists and growers on harvest quality deficiencies and areas for improvement for specific lots.
- Plan and assign annual cleaning expectations to seed cleaning partners, specifying volume, quality, timing expectations, and any special quality considerations.
- Collaborate with the Operations Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate reporting to growers and seed cleaners.
- Manage annual service contracts with seed cleaning partners. Work with the Quality team to share feedback on annual quality trends and coach seed cleaners on improvement areas. Oversee the onboarding of new seed-cleaning partners as required.
- Manage annual Request for Proposal (RFP) process for bulk freight service providers, and onboard new providers as necessary.
- Set weekly delivery plans with freight providers, manage schedule adjustments, and review and approve invoices from bulk freight service providers.
- Collaborate with Plant Managers to understand future raw material needs for quality and production.
- Manage inquiries from growers and seed cleaning service providers regarding quality issues, and communicate with agronomists to facilitate improvements.
- Maintain data for BI reporting.
- Set goals, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and report results monthly.
- Foster close relationships with internal teams in Quality, Agronomy, Administration, and Logistics, as well as with external growers, seed cleaning partners, and freight service providers to ensure a positive and collaborative experience.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Accredited certifications from the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM), such as Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and Supplier Relationship Management Certificate (SRMC), or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of supply chain experience, preferably within the agri-food industry.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with both internal and external stakeholders, showcasing diplomacy and professionalism consistently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to SOPs.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $60,000
