Global Procurement Manager - Packaging Talent Drive is partnering with a leading global consumer goods organisation to appoint a Global Procurement Manager - Packaging. This is a highly visible role within a growing global procurement team, offering the opportunity to influence supplier strategy, shape key commercial decisions, and deliver meaningful impact across an international packaging spend portfolio. Working closely with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions, you'll play a pivotal role in driving procurement excellence, strengthening supplier partnerships, and identifying opportunities to support long-term business growth. Key Responsibilities Lead procurement activities across a global packaging portfolio, ensuring commercial, operational, and strategic objectives are achieved. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, creating collaborative partnerships that deliver mutual success. Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, enhance service levels, and deliver sustainable cost savings. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and supply chain risks to support effective decision-making. Partner with regional procurement teams to ensure a consistent and coordinated approach across global markets. Support complex sourcing activities and commercial negotiations with a focus on achieving the best overall business outcome. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective procurement solutions. Drive supplier performance reviews, contract compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Champion responsible sourcing and sustainability objectives across the packaging supply base. Develop strong cross-functional relationships across Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams. Required Experience Significant procurement experience gained within a multinational manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or consumer products environment. Experience managing packaging-related spend categories and working with a broad supplier base. Proven track record of delivering measurable commercial improvements through supplier management and strategic sourcing. Strong negotiation skills with experience leading complex commercial discussions and contract agreements. Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making across multiple functions. Strong understanding of supply markets, supplier landscapes, and procurement best practices. Experience working in a global or multi-regional environment. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills. Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
