What You Will Do:
• Craft and lead a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for electric motors integral to Hunter Douglas products.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of global supply markets to uncover cost-saving, quality-enhancing, and risk-reducing opportunities.
• Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and terms with leading motor suppliers to optimize our supply chain.
• Build and nurture a preferred supplier base, utilizing performance scorecards to ensure excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on new product introductions and innovate through value engineering.
• Accurately forecast demand to guarantee supply continuity across our global operations.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives while upholding the highest quality and reliability standards.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact motor categories.
• Work closely with finance on budgeting, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership metrics.
• Regularly communicate category performance, potential risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.
