Gift Shop Manager

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Gift Shop Manager to lead our retail gift shop operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties Lead the daily operations of the gift shop, ensuring smooth and efficient store management Supervise and motivate sales staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, and inventory control procedures Oversee point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, pricing strategies, and cashiering activities Develop engaging merchandising displays to enhance product presentation and boost sales Implement operational policies related to budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks Conduct hiring interviews, onboarding sessions, and ongoing employee orientation to build a high-performing team Monitor retail sales performance metrics and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets Ensure excellent customer service by addressing visitor inquiries promptly and professionally Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in compliance with company policies Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry with a focus on sales team supervision and store operations Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, POS systems, and merchandising techniques Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and budget management Skilled in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff to foster a motivated team environment Experience with cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and basic math skills Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with excellent time management and organizational skills Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while maintaining high standards of customer service excellence Familiarity with retail math calculations related to sales performance analysis and operational metrics Strong organizational skills for stock control, merchandising setup, shift management, and administrative duties Join us as a Gift Shop Manager where your leadership will shape memorable shopping experiences while driving operational success.
