General Warehouse Labourer

Company Overview Dominion Distribution Ltd specializes in selling commercial flat roofing products and we do a bit of manufacturing of foam insulation using hot wire cutters to shape it. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic General Warehouse Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with order picking and shipping processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in warehouse distribution and heavy equipment operation within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklift Assist with order picking and packing to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and process shipments Support shipping and receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound goods Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment or assist with maintenance tasks Ensure safety protocols are followed during all warehouse activities, including heavy lifting and load securing Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency Experience Previous warehouse experience or construction background preferred Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and systems is advantageous Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is highly desirable Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and load/unload operations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus Hands-on experience with order picker machines or similar equipment is beneficial Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to efficient distribution and operational excellence!
