Key Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will hold complete operational and site leadership for the Delta Gomma manufacturing facility. You will direct safety, production, plant maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain logistics, serving as the commercial and operational leader accountable for plant performance against budget and strategic growth goals.
• Strategic Operations & P&L Oversight: Direct total plant performance, budget development, and cost containment across direct labor, raw materials, energy, and maintenance overhead. Manage operational variances and optimize margins across a diverse, high-volume SKU portfolio.
• Continuous Manufacturing Leadership: Lead continuous production lines, compression/injection molding, vulcanization processes, and material conversion. Ensure close alignment between production schedules, BOM accuracy, and machine uptime to consistently beat customer delivery commitments and lead times.
• Supply Chain & Material Flow: Partner with supply chain and warehouse leads to maintain optimal safety stock, streamline WIP (work-in-progress) throughput, and manage raw material receiving to support uncompromised on-time, in-full (OTIF) order fulfillment.
• Systems & Data Governance: Champion data-driven operational management utilizing our enterprise systems (ERP / NetSuite, MRP, Power BI). Establish, monitor, and report key site metrics including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap rates, labor absorption, and downtime analysis.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance (CNESST): Champion plant-wide adherence to Quebec occupational health, safety, and environmental standards under the CNESST. Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC / CSS) culture and foster proactive, behavior-based safety practices across all shifts.
• Continuous Improvement & Capital Planning: Direct Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives across the facility. Formulate and execute CAPEX business cases for plant layout improvements, tooling investments, facility infrastructure, and automated machinery integration.
