We are seeking a highly experienced, results-driven General Manager to lead the launch, development, and expansion of our automotive transportation business. This is a leadership opportunity for an individual with strong industry knowledge, established business relationships, and proven experience managing commercial car hauler operations. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the company’s daily automotive transportation and logistics operations. * Develop and secure transportation contracts with dealerships, auto auctions, rental car companies, fleet operators, and automotive manufacturers. * Leverage existing industry relationships to generate new business opportunities. * Recruit, manage, and supervise CDL drivers, dispatchers, and operational personnel. * Oversee a fleet of 9–10 vehicle car haulers and coordinate efficient transportation routes throughout Texas. * Manage dispatching, scheduling, load planning, backhauls, and fleet utilization. * Establish and maintain relationships with major automotive transportation customers, including rental car companies, dealership groups, auctions, and fleet management companies. * Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, CDL, insurance, and transportation safety requirements. * Monitor operating expenses, fuel consumption, maintenance, driver performance, and profitability. * Implement operational systems, GPS tracking, ELD, fleet management software, and performance reporting. * Develop strategies to increase revenue, maximize truck utilization, and expand the fleet. * Report directly to company ownership regarding financial performance, operational results, and growth opportunities. Required Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of management experience in automotive transportation, car hauling, or commercial trucking logistics. * Proven experience with multi-car transporters (7–10 vehicle car haulers). * Established industry contacts and business relationships in Texas are strongly preferred. * Experience developing transportation contracts and negotiating rates. * Strong understanding of auto auctions, dealership transportation, fleet logistics, and vehicle remarketing. * Experience managing CDL drivers and dispatch operations. * Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and commercial fleet compliance. * Strong leadership, negotiation, organizational, and financial management skills. * Ability to build and grow a transportation operation from the ground up. * Experience with transportation management systems, load boards, GPS tracking, and ELD platforms.
