Task Custom Metal FabricatorsGeneral Labourer/Shipper-Receiver Task Custom Metal Fabricators – Elmira, ON We require a General Labourer/Shipper-Receiver to join our growing team. This is a straight day’s position Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm and Friday 7am to 11am. You must be available to work over-time when required which is paid at time and a half. This is a detail oriented position including cutting, bending, grinding, drilling steel using blueprints and shipping and receiving duties. You must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs, drive a tow motor, read and write in English, and do general clean-up. We are a custom shop so you must enjoy variety. Experience in shipping and receiving and welding shop environment would be an asset, but we are willing to train. CSA safety work boots required. G License Required (successful applicant will be required to obtain a driver's abstract) Position : Permanent Full-Time employment Straight days Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 4:30pm and Friday 7am to 11am Starting wage based on experience Overtime paid after 40 hours Health and dental benefits after 3 months Responsibilities: Report to the Shop Supervisor Shipping and receiving Measuring and cutting materials Use of hand and power tools such as grinders, band saw, etc. Check and weigh materials and products Sort, crate and package materials and products for shipping Making local deliveries of product with company truck as required Assist machine operators, assemblers and other employees as requested Clean machines and work areas Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $18.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking RRSP match Vision care Language: English (required) Work Location: In person
