Summary: The General Laborer - Firestop Installer supports construction site operations by assisting project managers, supervisors, and skilled trades with a variety of manual labor and material handling tasks. Responsibilities include site preparation, receiving and staging materials, operating basic equipment, maintaining a clean and safe worksite, and assisting with general construction activities. This role requires attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while following company policies and safety procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Monitoring a control panel to identify issues or emergencies. Taking quick action when issues or emergencies arise. Answering incoming calls to communicate the issue and take appropriate action. Maintain a level of alertness with focus in a quiet environment. Conduct inspections of material handling equipment (MHE) and vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming materials and shipments. Ability to remain seated and attentive for extended periods. Pick, stage, and prepare outbound deliveries accurately. Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently. Perform heavy lifting and manual material handling tasks as required. Assist with site preparation activities, including staging and moving materials. Operate basic hand and power tools as needed. Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and assisting with installation activities. Support the setup and dismantling of temporary structures and equipment. Assist with demolition and basic carpentry tasks. Maintain a clean and organized worksite by removing debris and hazardous materials.
