ConfidentialOverview Join our dynamic team as a Gate Clerk, where you'll be the first point of contact at our distribution center's entry point. This vital role involves managing access for employees, vendors, and visitors, ensuring smooth operations while maintaining security and compliance standards. Your proactive approach will help facilitate efficient warehouse activities and uphold safety protocols, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations. Duties Authorize and verify entry and exit of employees, delivery personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with company policies. Manage shipping and receiving documentation using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software such as AS400 or similar platforms. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, cargo, and personnel to ensure security and compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with warehouse teams to facilitate order picking, packing, stocking, and inventory management activities. Assist with load & unload procedures using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper handling of goods. Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, inventory movements, and visitor logs through data entry and inventory management software. Support shipping logistics by preparing packages for dispatch, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring trade compliance with international trade regulations when applicable. Skills Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP systems such as AS400. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, stocking, packaging, and order picking. Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively. Excellent data entry skills coupled with basic math abilities for accurate record keeping and inventory tracking. Customer service orientation to assist visitors and internal teams professionally. Familiarity with logistics processes including international trade regulations and trade compliance standards. Competence in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and communication purposes.
