Gas Station Cashier / Store Associate

Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately to process retail sales transactions, including fuel sales, snacks, beverages, and other store items Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections or demos when needed Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize sales potential Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase store revenue Enforce phone etiquette standards when interacting with customers over the phone or in person Support inventory management by conducting stock checks and assisting with product replenishment as directed Assist with grocery store functions if applicable, including basic math calculations for transactions and pricing accuracy Experience Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations Supervising experience is a plus, especially in leading small teams or training new staff Bilingual skills are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product demos to promote sales opportunities Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-notch service while fostering a positive shopping experience.
