Gas Station Attendant/Cashier

Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end Provide product demos and upsell items such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to maximize sales opportunities Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise; ensure the store remains clean, organized, and inviting Maintain knowledge of store products, including grocery items and convenience store offerings Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, providing directions, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting callers Support merchandising efforts through visual displays and inventory management Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment to ensure product availability Skills Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions Strong cash register operation skills including cash handling and cash drawer management Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively Demonstrated customer service expertise with a friendly, professional demeanor Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts Experience in grocery or retail store environments preferred; familiarity with merchandising is advantageous Supervising experience is beneficial for supporting team efforts during busy shifts Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and upselling techniques to enhance sales performance Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy engaging with people, thrive in energetic settings, and are eager to grow their retail skills.
