Gas Station Attendant/Cashier

Responsibilities Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product demos, and guiding shoppers through their selections. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Upsell products and suggest add-on items to enhance the customer’s purchase experience. Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented. Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts to support store operations. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key. Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and professionally. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of retail merchandising, stocking procedures, and customer service best practices.
