Garment Intake & Inventory Specialist

Position Type: Full-Time 7:00AM – 3:30PM Location: 4527 S B Street Stockton Pay Rate: $20–$23/hr About the Role We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Garment Intake & Inventory Specialist to join our processing team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming items, responsible for sorting, inspecting, and cataloging unwashed garments and textiles into our digital inventory system. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess great attention to detail, and don't mind getting your hands dirty (literally!), we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Receive & Sort: Receive incoming loads of unwashed clothing, linens, and textiles; sort items accurately by fabric type, color, laundering instructions, or customer ID. Data Entry & Tagging: Scan or manually enter item descriptions, condition notes, and tracking codes into our inventory software. Inspection: Check garments for pre-existing damage, stains, or personal items left in pockets, logging findings into the system. Organization: Move sorted batches to the appropriate processing or washing stations to ensure a smooth operational workflow. Workstation Upkeep: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized receiving and intake area. Requirements & Qualifications Tech-Savvy: Basic computer literacy and comfort using barcode scanners, touchscreens, or inventory management software. Detail-Oriented: High accuracy in logging item counts, garment types, and specific tracking details. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to [30–50] lbs continuously throughout your shift. Comfort with Dirty Laundry: Willingness to handle unwashed textiles, wear personal protective equipment (PPE provided, including gloves and aprons), and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and the ability to work independently or with a team.
