Garbage Truck Helper

Garbage Truck Helper Active Waste Solutions is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Garbage Truck Helpers . This is a hands-on position working alongside a garbage truck driver to provide safe and efficient residential and commercial waste collection. Job Responsibilities Assist the driver with daily garbage and waste collection routes. Ride on the garbage truck and assist with loading and collecting containers. Safely move trash containers to and from the collection area. Help identify and report damaged containers, unsafe conditions, or other issues. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Assist the driver when backing and maneuvering in tight areas when directed. Maintain a clean and organized work area around the truck. Work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years old . Reliable and dependable attendance is required. Able to work outdoors in hot, cold, rainy, and changing weather conditions. Able to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift. Must be able to repeatedly lift, push, pull, bend, and walk. Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and moving vehicles. Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Previous waste collection, construction, landscaping, warehouse, or other physical labor experience is a plus, but not required . Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job. Candidates must be able to: Walk and stand for extended periods. Repeatedly lift and move trash containers and bags. Bend, stoop, push, pull, and climb as necessary. Work around heavy trucks and equipment. Perform job duties safely at a steady pace.
