Furniture Warehouse and Delivery
Poppy's of MaconOverview Join our team as a Furniture Warehouse and Delivery team member and keep orders moving from the warehouse to customers’ homes. You’ll support warehouse distribution, inventory control, order fulfillment, and delivery preparation while handling furniture safely and carefully. Your impact: Accurate picking, packing, and loading help customers receive the right furniture in good condition. Duties Receive, stock, package, and organize furniture; complete shipping and receiving tasks and maintain inventory records. Pick and pack orders, use an RF (radio frequency) scanner, and update inventory management software or a warehouse management system, including AS400 where applicable. Load and unload deliveries, move materials with a pallet jack, forklift, reach truck, order picker, cherry picker, or crane when trained and authorized. Operate material handling equipment and perform heavy lifting and manual handling using safe techniques and required personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow safety regulations and protocols while supporting warehouse operations, logistics, and accurate order processing. Requirements Warehouse experience, including materials handling, stocking, picking and packing, and inventory management; basic math skills are needed. Ability to safely lift and move furniture and use material handling equipment; equipment operation experience is preferred. Familiarity with inventory control, warehouse management, warehouse distribution, and inventory management software is preferred. Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus, not required. Demonstrate safety protocol adherence and technical proficiency; knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements is preferred.
