Furniture Delivery & Warehouse Associate

Job Overview As a Furniture Delivery & Warehouse Associate, you’ll keep orders moving from the warehouse to customers’ homes. You’ll prepare, load, transport, and deliver furniture while providing helpful, professional service. The role combines warehouse operations, route driving, and hands-on moving, with a focus on safe lifting and careful handling. Your impact: Accurate, safe deliveries help customers receive their furniture in good condition and on schedule. Responsibilities Load and unload furniture; secure items for transport and use safe lifting practices when handling heavy or awkward loads. Support warehouse operations, including order preparation, staging, and material handling. Drive a box truck; follow traffic regulations and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Deliver furniture to customers, communicate courteously, and use mobile devices to review routes and update delivery information. Complete delivery and warehouse tasks reliably, including personal vehicle delivery when required and authorized. Qualifications Must have a valid and good driver's license . No major hits on your license. Punctuality & Dependability: Must arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and ready to begin working at the scheduled start time. Strong Work Ethic: Must remain awake, alert, productive, and engaged throughout the workday. Sleeping on the job or intentionally avoiding assigned responsibilities will not be tolerated. Physical Ability: Must be capable of regularly lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading heavy furniture and appliances weighing approximately 80–100 pounds, with proper lifting techniques and assistance or equipment when needed. Teamwork: Must work well with others, communicate respectfully, and be willing to help coworkers without being asked repeatedly. Willingness to Clean: Must be willing to clean whenever necessary, including sweeping, organizing, removing trash, and maintaining a neat and presentable workplace. Cleanliness & Organization: Responsible for helping keep the warehouse, bathrooms, sales floor, and other work areas clean, orderly, and presentable. Customer Service: Must treat every customer with kindness, patience, honesty, and respect, representing our business in a professional manner. Flexibility: Must be willing to assist with deliveries, unpacking shipments, assembling furniture, organizing inventory, cleaning, and helping with sales when needed. Attention to Detail: Must handle furniture and appliances carefully, protect customers’ property during deliveries, and help prevent damage to merchandise. Accountability: Must follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, take responsibility for mistakes, and communicate problems or concerns promptly. Honesty & Integrity: Must be trustworthy, dependable, and committed to treating customers, coworkers, merchandise, and company property with respect. Safety Awareness: Must follow safe lifting procedures, use equipment properly, and work carefully around heavy merchandise, delivery vehicles, and other employees. Professional Attitude: Must maintain a positive attitude, accept constructive feedback, and be willing to learn new tasks.
