Experienced Delivery Driver / Furniture Installer Office Furniture Direct — Farmingdale, NY Pay: $28.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time Office Furniture Direct (OFD) is seeking an experienced delivery driver to join our delivery and installation team. Based in Farmingdale, we furnish commercial offices throughout Long Island, New York City, and the surrounding area. This is a hands-on position that includes driving, loading and unloading, assembling furniture, and working with customers at job sites. At least two years of furniture delivery, moving, or closely related experience is required. Responsibilities Safely operate company delivery trucks throughout Long Island, NYC, and surrounding areas. Load, secure, transport, and unload office furniture with care. Assemble and install desks, tables, seating, storage, and other office furniture. Follow delivery paperwork, verify quantities, and report damage or missing items. Protect furniture, floors, walls, and elevators during deliveries. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and the office. Complete vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, organized truck. Assist with warehouse work and order preparation as needed. Qualifications Minimum two years of related delivery, moving, or furniture installation experience. Valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier. Experience driving box trucks and navigating local delivery routes. Ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture using team assistance and appropriate equipment. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail. Professional appearance and strong customer service skills. Commercial office furniture installation experience preferred.
