Furniture and Floor Covering Warehouse Manager

Job Overview Job Title: Warehouse Manager We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee our daily warehouse and distribution operations. You will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, optimizing floor productivity, enforcing strict safety standards, and leading our warehouse team to ensure fast and accurate order fulfillment.Key Responsibilities Operations Management: Oversee daily receiving, warehousing, pick/pack, and shipping processes to meet delivery deadlines. Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and mentor warehouse staff and leads. Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts, manage stock reconciliation, and minimize shrinkage or inventory discrepancies. Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety guidelines, maintain clean workspace standards, and ensure proper equipment handling/inspections. Process Optimization: Analyze workflow bottlenecks, track key performance indicators (KPIs) like order accuracy and throughput, and implement efficiency improvements. Facility & Equipment: Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse machinery. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 3+ years of progressive warehouse or distribution experience, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Certifications: Valid forklift operation certification (or ability to pass certification); clean driving record if local transport is required. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Soft Skills: Strong communication, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
