Functional Lead - SAP S/4HANA Production Planning (Fashion & Footwear Manufacturing)

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA PP (Production Planning) Functional Lead with deep domain expertise in Fashion and Footwear manufacturing . In this critical leadership role, you will design, configure, and optimize our end-to-end shop floor and manufacturing processes. You will serve as the principal authority on how multi-dimensional product variables (size, color, width matrices) impact material planning and production execution. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex apparel manufacturing facilities and digital S/4HANA systems, ensuring efficient capacity utilization and a streamlined production lifecycle. Core Lead Responsibilities Manufacturing Solution Architecture: Lead the blueprinting, functional design, and technical configuration of the SAP S/4HANA PP module tailored for discrete and variant-based fashion manufacturing. Fashion Material Planning (MRP): Design and implement Material Requirements Planning (MRP) rules that dynamically account for fashion segmentation, seasonal demand spikes, and component/fabric lead times. Master Data Engineering: Architect fashion-specific manufacturing master data structures, including complex Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Routings configured to automatically scale across multi-dimensional grid/variant concepts (size/color matrices). Shop-Floor & Execution Management: Drive configuration for Work Centers, Capacity Planning, and Production Orders . Optimize shop-floor execution workflows, including order creation, components staging, picking, confirmations, and goods receipt. Cross-Module Integration Ownership: Act as the primary integration anchor between the PP stream and adjacent modules: Fashion/SD: Syncing production schedules with seasonal wholesale allocations (ARun). MM (Materials Management): Managing raw material flow and fabric inventory. CO (Controlling): Ensuring tight integration with product costing, variance analysis, and shop-floor cost center accounting. Team & Project Leadership: Manage and mentor internal functional analysts and external consulting partners. Drive user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover strategy, and hypercare support for manufacturing sites. Required Qualifications & Experience Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of hands-on SAP PP configuration experience, with at least 3+ years leading technical teams in an apparel, footwear, or textile manufacturing environment. S/4HANA Expertise: Proven configuration and delivery experience on the SAP S/4HANA Fashion / FMS / Vertical Business platform. Fashion Matrix Competency: Deep understanding of how Generic Articles and Variants dictate BOM explosion and capacity calculation on the factory floor. Integration Fluency: Demonstrated success managing the complex touchpoints between manufacturing execution and product costing/controlling (CO-PC). Leadership & Impact: Strong advisory skills with a history of guiding plant managers and supply chain executives through digital manufacturing transformations. Preferred Qualifications SAP S/4HANA Production Planning / Manufacturing Certification. Experience integrating SAP PP with external Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or shop-floor automation hardware. Familiarity with sustainable manufacturing tracing or apparel compliance tracking within SAP
