Full-Time Warehouse Employee — UPS Shipping, LTL Freight & Receiving
OutdoorsinessAbout the Job Outdoorsiness is hiring a full-time warehouse employee to take complete ownership of daily shipping, receiving, packing, freight preparation, and warehouse execution. This is a hands-on, physically demanding, production-focused position. You will be expected to identify what needs to ship, organize the work, and complete it without continuous supervision. We have invested heavily in software and automation to make the job clear and efficient. The system identifies orders, products, quantities, shipping information, and outstanding work. We need a full-turnkey operator who can turn that information into accurately packed and completed shipments. This is not a supervisor-only or desk logistics position. You will personally pick products, pack boxes, build and wrap pallets, create UPS labels, book LTL shipments, prepare BOLs, receive inventory, handle routine shipping exceptions and claims, and keep the warehouse organized. Schedule: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Classification: Full-time, overtime eligible Pay: $45,000–$60,000 per year What You Will Own UPS Shipping Pick, pack, measure, weigh, label, document, and stage UPS orders. Complete all eligible UPS orders the same business day when released before the daily cutoff, or the next business day when released later. Prevent ready UPS orders from aging beyond the next business day without a documented blocker. Resolve or promptly document shortages, damages, address problems, and routine carrier exceptions. LTL Freight Pick and pack freight orders, build stable pallets, wrap and label pallets, book carriers, and prepare accurate BOLs. Complete ready and released LTL shipments within 72 hours. Verify quantities, dimensions, weights, freight class, addresses, accessorials, and shipment records. Receiving and Inventory Unload and receive inbound inventory. Verify products, SKUs, quantities, and condition against receiving documents. Record shortages, overages, and damage immediately. Put inventory away accurately and maintain an organized warehouse. This Job Is a Good Fit If You Work quickly without sacrificing accuracy. Take pride in completing a large amount of work. Can work independently without constant supervision. Notice problems and solve or report them immediately. Prefer measurable expectations over vague instructions. Are comfortable being accountable for daily results. Can move between small-package shipping, pallet work, receiving, and inventory. Consistently close out assigned work and clearly document anything that cannot be completed. Performance and Work Style Expectations This is an output-measured position with clear daily expectations, consistent accountability, and independent work. The successful employee will be expected to: Maintain a consistent pace while protecting accuracy. Stay productive without continuous task direction. Complete eligible routine shipping work within the stated service levels. Document blockers immediately when work cannot be completed. Perform physically demanding warehouse work throughout the shift. Meet the stated throughput expectations for routine orders after training. Take routine shipping problems through resolution or escalate them promptly with the information needed to resolve them. Learn and independently use UPS, LTL booking, BOL, freight-claim, receiving, and inventory systems. Productivity and Quality Expectations Performance will be measured using direct working time. Direct working time includes picking, packing, measuring, weighing, labeling, documenting, and staging—not merely printing labels. Receiving, documented exceptions, unusually complex orders, and LTL work will be tracked separately. After training, expectations include: 15 or more standard UPS orders per direct labor-hour. Higher output when processing repeat-SKU or simple single-package batches. 99.5% or better pick-and-pack accuracy. Same-day or next-business-day completion of all eligible UPS orders.
