Full-time Cargo Van Delivery Driver - Dedicated Route (1099)

About Ward & Company Solutions Ward & Company Solutions is a Columbus-based regional logistics and transportation company focused on dependable service, professional communication, and operational excellence. We are seeking a dependable and professional Full-Time Cargo Van Delivery Driver to assist with local and regional delivery routes throughout Columbus and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, 1099 independent contractor opportunity. No CDL or previous courier experience is required. We are looking for someone who is a safe driver, dependable, communicates well, and can consistently be available on their agreed-upon workdays. Company cargo van, fuel, and delivery equipment are provided. Schedule This position requires availability minimum 5 days per week: Saturday-Wednesday Approximately 40-45 hours per week, depending on available routes Additional weekend routes may be offered but are not required Route start/end times are 9am-5:30pm , however these times may vary depending on customer needs. Additional routes/hours outside the regular schedule may be available. Responsibilities Complete local and regional pickups and deliveries Safely operate a full-size cargo van Load, secure, transport, and unload cargo Use provided equipment such as dollies, carts and cargo straps when necessary Maintain communication regarding pickup, delivery and route status Complete required delivery documentation and app updates Perform basic pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections Provide professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations Keep the company vehicle clean and secure Requirements Valid driver’s license Acceptable driving record/MVR Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Must have or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card Comfortable operating a full-size cargo van Ability to safely load/unload delivery items Smartphone with ability to use GPS/navigation and delivery applications Reliable transportation to and from the company vehicle Strong communication and time-management skills Dependable attendance and consistent availability on scheduled days Preferred, But Not Required Previous experience in courier services, delivery driving, logistics, warehouse operations or cargo-van driving is helpful but not required. .
