Position: Full-Container Dispatcher Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Brampton, ON Address: 420 Parkhurst Sq, Brampton, ON L6T 5W1 Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 annually (based on experience) Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package after 3 months Shift: Monday–Friday (rotating weekends), shifts between 6:00 a.m- 2:30pm. Or 10:00a.m – 6:30pm About the Role We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full-Container Dispatcher to join our team in Brampton. This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and dispatching drivers to ensure efficient, on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and business partners. Key Responsibilities Plan daily loads and driver coverage based on customer appointments and schedules. Dispatch drivers according to delivery requirements and appointment times. Monitor and oversee day-to-day fleet operations. Handle communication via phone, email, and text with drivers, freight forwarders, and clients. Resolve operational issues (e.g., breakdowns, delays, wait times, driver coverage). Perform accurate and timely data entry. Track container movements on CN/CP Rail websites. Book, update, and manage reservations for containers at CN Rail. Schedule and confirm customer appointments. Support problem-solving and general office administration. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of dispatch experience , including CN/CP reservation booking. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to multi-task effectively in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Professional communication skills with customers, freight forwarders, and colleagues (phone and email). Previous logistics experience considered an asset. Typing speed of 60+ words per minute (testing may be required). Proficient in MS Excel and able to learn and adapt to internal software systems. Reliable, punctual, and dependable team player with initiative and a strong work ethic. Why Join Us?
