About Absolutely Ridiculous Absolutely Ridiculous (AR) is a culture-driven sports art studio and sporting goods brand based in Nashville, TN. We make baseball and softball gloves, sliding mitts, protective gear, pickleball paddles, and apparel that treat sports equipment as art. We sell direct to fans through AbsolutelyRidiculous.com and our Nashville retail space, Studio X, and wholesale to retailers including Dick's, Scheels, and Nordstrom, plus hundreds of independent shops. The Role We're hiring a hands-on Fulfillment Manager to own how every order leaves our building, and to make that process meaningfully better. You'll be our in-house fulfillment expert from day one. Our order volume swings significantly with the seasons. We need someone who can bring proven systems and processes, learn our tools and products fast, and build a fulfillment operation that scales up and down with demand. This is not a maintain-the-status-quo job. You'll set the standards, fix what's broken, and build an operation that keeps getting better as we grow. Location: on-site in Nashville, TN. Start date: as soon as possible. What You'll Do Run daily fulfillment: pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer and wholesale orders accurately and on time. Build the playbook: create and document standard processes for receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. Own inventory accuracy: set up cycle counts, bin locations, and controls so what our systems say matches what's on the shelf. Prepare for holiday peak: plan staffing, supplies, and workflows to handle seasonal volume spikes without missed ship dates. Cut costs and errors: improve carrier selection, packaging, and shipping rates; track and reduce mis-picks, damages, and late shipments. Handle wholesale orders: pack and ship retailer purchase orders to each retailer's requirements, including big-box routing and labeling rules. Manage returns and exchanges: process returns quickly and get resellable product back into stock. Report what matters: track and share key metrics such as order accuracy, ship time, cost per order, and inventory accuracy. Scale the team: recruit, hire, train, schedule, and manage seasonal and part-time workers as volume requires, directly or through staffing agencies, and scale the team back down after peak. What You Bring 2+ years of hands-on fulfillment experience covering both B2C (direct-to-consumer e-commerce) and B2B (wholesale to retailers) orders, with at least some time leading a process, shift, or small team. A track record of improving a fulfillment operation, not just running one. Be ready to tell us what you changed and what it fixed. Experience shipping retail wholesale orders, including retailer routing guides, labeling and compliance requirements, and avoiding chargebacks, alongside a few thousand consumer orders a month with seasonal peaks. Comfort with Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform, plus shipping and inventory software. Working knowledge of carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and how to lower shipping costs. Experience hiring, onboarding, and managing seasonal or temporary warehouse staff, including getting new hires productive within days. Strong organization and attention to detail; you notice when a count is off. Ability to learn new software and products quickly and work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Nice to Have Experience with NetSuite, an ERP, or a warehouse management system (WMS). Experience with returns platforms (e.g., Redo) and shipping software (e.g., ShipStation). Experience with EDI or retailer marketplace portals (e.g., Mirakl). Familiarity with sporting goods, apparel, or high-SKU-count products. A love of baseball, softball, or sports. Compensation and Details Salary: $52,000–$62,000 per year, based on experience. Bonus: performance bonus tied to holiday peak results and fulfillment KPIs (accuracy, ship time, cost per order) when possible. Schedule: full-time, on-site in Nas…
