About the position: We are looking for a new team member with exceptional organizational skills, outstanding attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time well. You should be very comfortable taking on responsibility and being accountable for your actions and mistakes. We are a small team where everyone is open to learning new skills and willing to jump in on tasks outside of their immediate job description. We enjoy working together and get a lot of satisfaction from getting things done. Your main role will be pulling, packing, and shipping our retail and wholesale orders, and managing customer service and communication with store owners. You will be in charge of our physical inventory at our (beautiful and light-filled) Brooklyn studio. This includes receiving deliveries from the factory, unpacking boxes, and sorting them by style, size, and color into bins, consolidating existing inventory, adding new inventory to each style, re-sorting it by color, and updating inventory quantities in Shopify. You should be passionate about providing great service to our customers and making our clothes look their best when they arrive. This is a temporary position from October to December to start, with an opportunity for long-term employment. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure all orders ship promptly, all customer communications are timely and follow brand standards, and all inventory is accurate and meticulously organized at all times. Print orders from the back end of Shopify Pull items accurately from bins and tables Print shipping labels using ShipStation Wrap stacks of neatly folded clothing in tissue, put in a mailer or box, and add a shipping label Take orders to the loading dock when the post office truck arrives Manage customer service throughout the day, prioritizing order-related inquiries and answering all promptly Process returns Receive inventory deliveries from the factory Unpack boxes and add to existing inventory Consolidate, reorganize, and count inventory as needed Manage wholesale orders and communication with stores Add new inventory to Shopify site Track and re-order shipping and office supplies as needed Office maintenance (watering plants, emptying dishwasher, taking trash to the loading dock, vacuuming) Requirements: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience Exceptional organizational skills Excellent writing and communication skills Ability to focus and pay attention to details over long periods of time Comfortable with being on your feet and moving around the warehouse most of the day Get “in the zone” while doing repetitive physical tasks quickly and accurately Crafty and diligent with hands-on work Able to lift 30 lbs bins and boxes and reach overhead Proficiency in Shopify, ShipStation, and Zendesk Our studio is located in Sunset Park near Industry City, 3 blocks from the express stop on the DNR.
