Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Warehouse Associate to organize, stock, and maintain our Mountain View warehouse while directly supporting our fulfillment team. In this role you will oversee the full inventory lifecycle — receiving shipments, stocking and organizing product, reconciling inventory — and work alongside our fulfillment specialists to ensure every Kids Atelier order is picked accurately, packaged beautifully, and shipped on time. You bring a keen eye for detail, a love of craft, and a commitment to the elevated experience our customers expect from a luxury kids' brand. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Intake Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders Unpack and log incoming merchandise accurately into inventory systems Identify and flag discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages immediately Inventory Organization & Stock Management Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout Assign and manage bin/shelf locations for all SKUs Ensure products are stored correctly and safely at all times Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic full inventory audits Order Fulfillment & Packaging Pick items for orders accurately from warehouse stock Package and wrap orders to a high standard — constructing boxes, wrapping items beautifully in tissue, and adding finishing touches befitting a luxury brand Handwrite personalized thank-you notes for outgoing orders Support outbound shipping processes and carrier handoffs Prioritize order queues during high-volume periods (promotions, peak seasons) Inventory Reconciliation Customer Communication Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email Collaborate with management to stay current on products, policies, and promotions Record customer interactions and relevant details in our customer service database Offer solutions aligned with Kids Atelier's service standards Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records Maintain accurate records in Shopify and any warehouse management tools Generate and review inventory reports; surface trends or issues to management General Operations Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse environment Oversee organization of returns and restocks Coordinate with vendors and logistics partners on shipping and delivery schedules Identify opportunities to improve warehouse workflows and processes Qualifications Required 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or a related role Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail A genuine eye for presentation — ability to package orders beautifully and consistently Excellent penmanship for handwritten customer notes Knowledge of luxury or contemporary fashion brands and apparel merchandising Strong computer skills; familiarity with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms a plus Ability to lift 25+ lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and a true self-starter who takes ownership Strong written communication skills — customer emails are part of this role Adaptable and calm under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Preferred Experience in ecommerce or luxury retail fulfillment Background in apparel or kids' fashion Experience with barcode scanning systems or warehouse management tools Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm to grow within the business Benefits We take care of our team.
