Shipping & Fulfillment Associate Brown Butter Cookie Company Pay: $19 - 21 per hour depending on experience Schedule: Typically 30–40 hours per week, depending on seasonal demand and business needs.Anticipated Starting Hours: 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with additional hours scheduled as needed About the Position Brown Butter Cookie Company is looking for a highly organized, dependable Shipping & Fulfillment Associate who enjoys hands-on work and likes to stay busy throughout the day. In this role, you’ll help prepare our cookies for shipment, pack customer orders, print shipping labels, keep supplies stocked, and assist customers with shipping questions. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, follows through on tasks, and notices what needs to be done next. What You’ll Do Pack cookie boxes with care and attention to product quality and presentation. Assemble shipping boxes and pack orders with the correct products, quantities, and protective materials. Print shipping labels and double-check order information before shipments go out. Help prepare online orders, subscription shipments, corporate gifts, and other special orders. Restock cookies, boxes, labels, inserts, and other shipping supplies. Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and ready for the next task. Answer customer calls about shipping, tracking, and order status. Communicate customer requests, order discrepancies, and supply shortages to the Shipping Manager. Follow established packing, shipping, food-safety, and workplace-safety procedures. Help with related packaging and production tasks as needed. Has computer skills and is willing to learn shipping software. Works well independently and as part of a team. Can adapt to changing priorities and increased order volume during busy seasons. Previous experience in shipping, packing, retail, food service, or customer service is helpful but not required. Schedule & Work Environment This is an hourly, non-supervisory position reporting to the Shipping Manager. The schedule typically ranges from 30–40 hours per week, depending on seasonal demand and business needs. Anticipated starting shifts are 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Shift times and lengths may change, and additional hours may be scheduled to support order volume, particularly during the holiday season. The role involves standing and moving throughout much of the workday, repetitive packing tasks, and regular computer and telephone use. Duties may include moving boxes and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds, with appropriate assistance or equipment as needed. Essential duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. Peak-Season Availability November and December are our peak shipping season, with December being our busiest month of the year. Reliable attendance and availability to work your scheduled hours during this period are important requirements of this role.
