Responsibilities Safely operate fuel tanker trucks and other heavy equipment during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for leaks, proper fluid levels, and mechanical issues. Load and unload freight with precision, utilizing forklift skills when necessary to handle containers or pallets. Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior to promote safety and professionalism. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse teams to coordinate schedules and report any issues promptly. Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Experience Proven experience operating commercial trucks, especially fuel tankers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols specific to fuel transportation. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and basic repair techniques. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Ability to perform detailed inspections and troubleshoot mechanical issues confidently.
