Fuel Oil Delivery Driver
Fry's Gas and OilJob Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated seasonal Delivery Driver to join our team for the winter season, November - April, with the possibility of turning into a full-time position. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively. You must have general knowledge of Sullivan County, Eastern Lycoming County, Turbotville, and surrounding areas. Duties Operate delivery trucks in a safe and responsible manner. Load and off load fuels, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate documentation as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Qualifications REQUIRED -- Valid class B commercial driver's license (CDL); Tanker and Haz Mat endorsement; experience with truck driving is essential. Familiarity with various types of fuels used for home heating and equipment. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles. Ability to work independently in all weather conditions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers. Ability to pull an oil hose 200 feet and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading various fuels. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. Come grow with us!
