Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time Local CDL Tanker Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous liquids using tanker trucks, ensuring timely deliveries within local routes. Salary: $25/hour Duties Safely operate tractor-trailer tanker trucks to transport liquids and hazardous materials across designated local routes, including OTR (Over the Road) driving routes when required. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking refrigeration units, flatbeds, and tankers to ensure optimal condition. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper cargo securing in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Deliver freight accurately and professionally, maintaining excellent customer service during pickups and drop-offs. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with DOT and FMCSA standards. Follow all safety protocols related to dangerous goods and hazardous materials handling, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker trucks, Hazmat, and hazardous materials transportation. Endorsements required. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with tanker, flatbed, or refrigerated trailers. Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, freight handling, and route driving best practices. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries within local or OTR routes. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including load & unload operations using forklifts or other equipment. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and dangerous goods transportation requirements. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Physical ability to handle manual tasks involved in logistics cargo handling; must be able to lift heavy items when necessary.
