Who we are
Misty Mountain Manufacturing is a woman-owned cut-and-sew factory in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood, making goods locally since 1984. We spread fabric, cut it, and sew it to our customers' specifications. Restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores and more market their brands with our tote bags. Schools, sports clubs and fire departments unify their teams with our Jensen Lee duffel bag l
...
ine. We also make medical cases and custom soft goods. Our roots run deep in the community; it's hard to name a long-standing local business we haven't worked with.
About the role
The Front Office & Logistics Coordinator keeps orders, money and materials moving through our factory. You'll invoice orders and apply payments, ship finished goods across the country and into Canada, order and receive the materials our team sews with, and be the first voice customers hear when they call. No two days look the same. The right person enjoys tracking down what happened and setting it straight.
What you'll do
Invoicing and payments (QuickBooks Online)
• Invoice new orders and send tracking information to customers
• Verify customer purchase orders and confirm payment before orders ship
• Process payments and deposits, and apply credits
• Untangle changes when they happen: a paid order switches to will call, quantities change, a payment doesn't match
• Follow up on open invoices and keep a weekly report of what's due
• Scan, upload and organize bills; manage reseller permits
Shipping and receiving
• Read work orders and ship with UPS WorldShip and USPS, plus occasional LTL freight
• Coordinate pallets with our production crew
• Ship to Canada and to larger retail customers with specific shipping requirements
• Manage will call pickups, returns and repairs
• Unpack deliveries, check them against what was ordered, and put them away
Purchasing and inventory
• Reorder the materials and supplies we use regularly
• Learn to read our cut sheets and order fabric, webbing and hardware for custom orders
• Track inventory of stock items and leftover parts from past orders
• Keep order backlog records up to date
Front office
• Answer phones and email, and greet visitors
• Order office and janitorial supplies
• Keep the office organized and pitch in on the factory floor when needed
• Help us move to a new order management system in the coming year: learn it, use it daily, and tell us what's working and what isn't
What we're looking for
Required
• 1–2 years of experience in office administration, shipping, customer service or a similar role
• Strong with numbers and detail: when something doesn't add up, you trace it until it's fixed
• Clear written and spoken English for phone, email and in-person communication
• Comfortable with computers and quick to adapt when software and processes change
• Organized and calm with interruptions and shifting priorities
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on the shipping floor as well as at a desk
Schedule, pay and benefits

Location | Fully on-site in Georgetown, Seattle
Pay | $23.50–$27.00 per hour, non-exempt (overtime eligible)
