Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Front Load Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating front loader trucks to collect, transport, and dispose of waste or recyclable materials efficiently. Your expertise in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge will ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining safety standards. Duties Operate front loader trucks with precision, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations during collection routes. Load and unload materials using mechanical equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of loads. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and mechanical components. Assist with the maintenance and minor repairs of trucks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge to identify issues early. Follow designated routes efficiently, optimizing collection schedules to maximize productivity. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate pickups and address any operational challenges promptly. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including loads collected, route completion times, and vehicle inspections. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations related to waste disposal and recycling procedures. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to front loader trucks, dump trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, or roll-off trucks in a professional setting. Skilled in driving manual transmission vehicles with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading materials manually or with mechanical aids. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with heavy-duty truck operation is preferred. Knowledge of load & unload procedures for various types of trucks including dump trucks and flatbeds. Familiarity with safety protocols related to waste collection operations and vehicle maintenance. Good communication skills for coordinating routes and reporting operational issues effectively.
