As a Front Load Driver, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient waste, recycling, and compost collection services. Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty front load trucks to collect waste, recycling, and compost containers along assigned routes. Safely navigate through high-traffic areas, congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and locations with limited overhead clearance. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and accurately complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). Follow assigned routes, service containers, ensure proper placement, and maintain cleanliness at service locations. Utilize a computerized mobile tablet to track route progress, complete stops, and enter relevant notes and information. Promptly report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to Supervisor or Dispatch. Participate in required training programs, briefings, and meetings. Collaborate with Dispatch and Supervisors to improve route efficiency and implement best practices. Assist other drivers as needed to meet customer needs and ensure timely service completion. Qualifications Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement. At least 1 year of recent experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience. Experience operating vehicles in congested parking lots and roadways. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong customer service skills. Ability to pass regular drug screenings, pre-employment physical, and background checks. Compensation $26.00 $30.00 per hour , plus a $2.00 per hour safety bonus effective immediately upon hire. This is a full-time, hourly position with typical shifts of 1011 hours per day, Monday through Friday starting at 3 a.m. Drivers are expected to work a Saturday approximately every three weeks.
